Community is the essence of Christian work, and Karen is grateful to have partnered with many wonderful Christian organizations. Those listed here are organizations with whom she has been privileged to serve.
City Church Amarillo
City Church Amarillo is a ministry devoted to raising up children, and meeting their needs where they are. I was privileged to serve in the summer lunch program, after school programs, Christmas distribution and ESL outreaches.
Then extremely honored to be commissioned to start City Church Austin.
Judah 1, Inc.
Judah 1 is a Christian aviation ministry. We have served together in the nations, and hope to do so many more times in the future! Our adventures in Morelia were outstanding.
Southwestern Christian Fellowship/
(Christian Medical and Dental Association/Baptist Student Ministries)
SCF is committed to training Christian and globally-minded healthcare professionals for the next generation. We are there to mentor, support and role-model. Serving alongside young people, at the Texas-Mexico border, keeps me feeling young. And we see so many people come to Jesus.
Agape Walk Ministries, International
Antonio and Guerdine Ruiz take the Gospel to the Caribbean and Cental America. I was part of their team in El Salvador, holding a neighborhood clinic and preaching on big vision to youth groups. What a wonderful time!
Agape International, Moscow, Russia
Dr. David and Cindy Deshan have been supporting Family Medicine and service to the Russian people for over two decades. We hold academic conferences at prestigious universities, training family physicians. But the highlight of this first trip, for me, was an evening at a homeless shelter clinic and a halfway house.
El Rey Ya Viene Church, Juarez, Mexico
Originally sent on a combined medical and ministry trip in 2013 by KCM, Dr. Karen formed a lasting friendship with Pastor Vicky Ponce. Today City Church supports El Rey Va Viene, as they feed, teach and sometimes even house the street children of Juarez. Such an honor.
Kenneth Copeland Ministries/Eagle Mountain Church
After growing up under this ministry, I spent 7 years as a volunteer leader in formal leadership training, serving in women’s ministry, prayer ministry, Believer’s Institute, and Evangelism.
Then I was privileged to become the ministry doctor for two years. Such a privilege. Such a community.
Women of Splendor/Splendor Publishing
When a dear friend from church many years ago let me know she was speaking in my area, I showed up to support her. And found a vibrant women’s ministry. Margo encouraged me to publish my first book. I am forever grateful.
If possible, to the best of your ability, live at peace with all people.
